Mission IM*POSSIBLE*

Nov 7 2010 in Marketing, Perspectives by Monika Genehr

Monika Genehr

THIS IS A PINK BAT TEST

Are you on a mission? Are you having problems on your mission?

Are you planning on going on a mission? Are you anticipating having problems on your mission?

Does life happen when you are making other plans?

In either case – make sure you TAKE the PINK BAT TEST below.

Make it your mission to SEEK – FIND – CHECK – and FULLY EXPRESS your AWARENESS and ATTITUDE DNA for proper mission control. Even if that means to let go of that mission.

STEP 1: Get into SEEK and you shall FIND mode

STEP 2: Check your AWARENESS level

STEP 3: Check your PINK BAT GENE – is it switched on and expressing PINK BAT THINKING?

Relax – step 3 – the PINK BAT TEST – can be enjoyed with popcorn:

Pink Bat Movie

As this good doctor says:

“People asking questions… lost in confusion… well, I tell them there’s no problem… only solutions…”

“”You can live each day in a world filled with “problems”, or rise each morning and embrace a world filled with unseen solutions… Pink bats… eager for you to find them. The decision is yours… both worlds exist. The one you choose is the one you will create.”Michael McMillan who inspired this post.

Not your usual kind of lecture – Randy Pausch

WELCOME to my blog post featuring Dr. Randy Pausch - delivering two of his lectures – namely

  • - his Last Lecture – Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams
  • - and his Time Management lecture

- each of which made my world stop – and made me pay attention:

“On September 18, 2007, Carnegie Mellon professor and alumnus Randy Pausch delivered

a one-of-a-kind last lecture that made the world stop and pay attention.”

Be forewarned: each one of Randy’s lectures is longer than 5 minutes – as university lectures usually are, of course.

BUT I trust that – with good time management (Randy Pausch can help you with that) – and a Tigger-like dose of curiosity – you too can manage to have Randy make your world stop and to make you pay attention.

HOWEVER – I’d hate to lose you because you don’t have much time to spend here at the moment – so I present to you the short version of Randy’s Last Lecture – as seen on Oprah:

For me – as

  • - a mom
  • - a baby boomer
  • - an ex-university lab rat (I have a Tigger-sized L.O.V.E. for learning and research)
  • - a marketer
  • - an entrepreneur
  • - and – especially – as a human being – a human being well acquainted with brick walls

- my time – spent drawing strength and inspiration from Randy and his lectures – (add to that the most natural and enjoyable, yet compelling way of Randy teaching me HOW to really have fun and WHY) - was well spent.

For me – making the time to allow Randy into my world – via his lectures and also his bookwas an excellent investment of my time with an even more excellent return

  • - an investment in me
  • - an investment in my business
  • - an investment in my life - present and future

- something I hope you can also consider investing in by listening to Randy’s lectures – namely investing in you – and investing in your life – present and future.

Without further ado – HERE’S the incomparable RANDY PAUSCH – taking the art and lifestyle of imageneering and really achieving your childhood dreams – how to live your life – to new levels.

Listen up – invite your friends – laugh and cry – as Randy tells you and shows you that

  • - “brick walls are there for a reason”
  • - “the overall goal in life is funand – to enable others to have fun”.

Here’s an excerpt of the transcript of the Last Lecture video I just showed you:

President Cohen, when I told him I was going to do this talk, he said, please tell them about having fun, because that’s what I remember you for. And I said, I can do that, but it’s kind of like a fish talking about the importance of water.

  • - I mean I don’t know how to not have fun.
  • - I’m dying and I’m having fun.
  • - And I’m going to keep having fun every day I have left.
  • - Because there’s no other way to play it.
So my next piece of advice is, you just have to decide if you’re a Tigger or an Eeyore. [shows slide with an image of Tigger and Eeyore with the phrase "Decide if you're Tigger or Eeyore"] I think I’m clear where I stand on the great Tigger/Eeyore debate. [laughter]
Never lose the childlike wonder. It’s just too important. It’s what drives us.
Help others.

MySpace Comments Wrapping it up:

***THANK YOU, MY FRIEND***

for spending some of your most valuable commodityyour time – with Randy Pausch!

And with me :) as well!

Allow me to leave you with a couple of questions:

  • - Where do you stand on the great Tigger/Eeyore debate?
  • - How is your childlike wonder progressing?
  • - What will people most remember you for – is having fun on that list?

— — —

May you have yourself a jolly Tigger day more often than not!

Marketing with a beat – the beat that goes on…

Feb 2 2010 in Marketing by Monika Genehr

Monika Genehr

WELCOME to MY REVIEW of the THE TRIBE called thatMLMbeat

- a MODERN DAY BARN RAISING COMMUNITY

FOR MODERN DAY MARKETERS

or – in techie speak

- a BLOG CONTENT SYNDICATION SITE

“where network marketers blog”.

When I took my first tour of thatMLMbeat community – I was immediately reminded of the Amish who know a thing or two about community and barn raising – and who put that knowledge to good use – faithfully and systematically.

- Barn raising is a social event.

- It’s about people getting together to GET THE JOB DONEand to HAVE A GOOD FUN TIME.

- SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING is – you guessed it – a SOCIAL event.

thatMLMbeat is a SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING EVENT – marketing with the help of A FRIENDLY TRIBE.

thatMLMbeat is about

  • BLOG SYNDICATION STRATEGIES
  • ELIMINATING THE LONE RANGER MARKETING SYNDROME
  • TURNING THE LONE RANGER MARKETER INTO A ROCK STAR MARKETER
  • DOING IT — CRUSHING IT — BURNING UP THE QUARTER MILE

George Fourie - all around nice guy and the creator of thatMLMbeatmay not be Amish – but I see him as a barn raiser and blog syndicator par excellence.

MEET GEORGE FOURIE – “Just a guy drummer, surfer, proud dad and founder of thatMLMbeat.com”

MEET also STEPHANIE DENEKE -”What’s so cool about blog syndication tribes anyway?

Syndication. (n.d.)2. An association of people or firms formed to engage in an enterprise or promote a common interest.”

3. A loose affiliation of gangsters in control of organized criminal activities.”

OK – PLEASE – DO concentrate on #2. — definitely eliminate #3.

SO… DO YOU HAVE

- A BARN TO RAISE?

- A BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY TO PROMOTE?

- AN AFFILIATE LINK TO MARKET?

- A LONELY BLOG IN NEED OF CONTENT SYNDICATION?

Here, in my blog home and in thatMLMbeat community, you’ll find what works now in online marketing:

- A TRIBE of FRIENDS and PARTNERS – working together – having FUN

- INSPIRATION and ENCOURAGEMENT

- MARKETING EXPERTISE and MARKETING MUSCLE

to help you BUILD OR RE-BUILD YOUR BARN and possibly the LIFE OF YOUR SWEET DREAMS.

John Helmstetter’s sister speaks from the heart:

“You should do for your neighbor as you would like them to do for you.”

“If everybody were more helping, it would be a better place to live.”

Meet John Helmstetter and his sister:

The American Spirit – Community Rallies Around Neighbor in Need

Barn Raising:

- A SOCIAL event in which members of a community assist in the building of a new barn.

- A colonial American building practice in which as many as one hundred people from neighboring farms would volunteer to help a family construct the frame and rafters of their barn in a single day, using pre-cut lumber. The event had practical significance, in that every new farm bolstered the prosperity of the frontier, yet it also became a social celebration that strengthened families’ bonds with the community; women prepared food and men held competitions of speed and strength. Barn raisings were also held to rebuild barns after fires or other disasters. Occasionally still held in the Midwest and other rural areas, they are a cherished tradition among the Amish. WHATEVER YOUR GOAL IN LIFE IS - BY ALL MEANS – RAISE YOUR BARN!

GET IN THE GAME – DO IT DO IT DO IT… (more about that later…)

- HAVE A PLAN - GET THE HELP and TOOLS YOU NEED

– PRACTICE USING THE TOOLS - WORK HARD - FAITHFULLY - SYSTEMATICALLY

- DEVELOP your SELF - your proper success MINDSET - your GO GIVER ATTITUDE

- GIVE OF YOURSELF - SHARE YOUR BOUNTY - SYNDICATE

- LIVE THE LIFE YOU WERE MEANT TO LIVE

AND DON’T FORGET TO SMILE :) – DANCE – HAVE FUN

got the beat? — got the point? — good — let’s dance

It’s a *Thriller*with a happy ending for me to participate in barn raising here at thatMLMbeat by using skills I learned from my friend, partner, and mentor – the empowered and prosperous Mr. Jonathan Budd.

I suppose now is a good time to consider some illuminating

FUN testimonials to how to play the GAME:

It’s kind of fun to do the impossible. Walt Disney

Just play. Have fun. Enjoy the game. Michael Jordan

A lightbulb from the master illuminator: I never did a day’s work in my life. It was all fun. Thomas A. Edison

Mr. Edison goes on to explain: One might think that the money value of an invention constitutes its reward to the man who loves his work.

But… I continue to find my greatest pleasure, and so my reward,

in the work that precedes what the world calls success. Thomas A. Edison

Talking about fun and work - PLEASE – CONSIDER ALSO…

lending a hand – a hammer – a nail – or just a nod and a smile – in my network marketing barn raising project:

REAL ORGANICS ON THE MOVE” here at:

~ Monika Genehr’s CASA ORGANICA – for better – not for worse ~

~ Here’s to your health – all the days of your life ~

- To do good, to work hard, to share and to have fun is a *Thriller* with a happy ending. Michael Jackson invariably pops into my mind.

- It’s all about you and me raising our barns together – for our family – our community – our world.

- Our children and grandchildren deserve to inherit a world where they also can have opportunities to raise their barns, do good, work hard, share and have tons of fun.

“Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.Thomas A. Edison

To me – an opportunity can have an enormous potential. Barn raisers get off the couch – put on their overalls – and systematically do all the work that needs to be done to make the opportunity come alive – to produce the desired results.

Work. (n.d.) 1. Physical or mental effort or activity directed toward the production or accomplishment of something.

I’m so glad we had this time together…

And I hope to see you here again… to raise a barn or two… to have fun…

Love and laughter and success la *Mighty Mouse* to you, my friend!

And thatMLMbeat goes on… and YES

the thrills go on as well… DO IT DO IT DO IT…

P.S. — So…

How is your day coming along… how is the beat of your life… your business?

Are you in the game or are you sitting on the bench?

Little Miss Janet Jackson… not to steal her charming thunder… summed IT up for you:

“In the Jackson 5 family everybody works.”

Will you rest your head on your pillow tonight and chime in with the J5:

AND I DID IT… AND WE DID IT

“Success is not for the timid. It is for those that seek guidance, make decisions, and take decisive action.” Jose Silva

Also… last but not least…

Lean the SECRET… how to play and stay in the network marketing GAME

Summed up by the empowered Mr. Jonathan Budd:

This GAME is… WHY… it’s systematic… hydromatic… ultramatic…

because it’s about… burning up the quarter mile

~~~~~ ~~~~~ ~~~~~
OK… I can’t help myself… please bear with me for one more trip down memory lane…
Burning up the quarter mile:
MONIKA’S CONCLUSION
No matter how I look at it… the lone ranger marketer can benefit from acquiring and diligently working with a good support system.
I hope you saw here the value of a system… a system like… for example:
thatMLMbeat – the Amish community – The 7 Figure Networker – working your talent with all you are and with all you got – buddying up to ultimately burn up the quarter mile.
The marketing of yourself and your URL can lead to great, even amazing results… when you have a system and know how to use it.
So…
GET the SYSTEM you need… WORK IT… and… HAVE FUN WITH IT
What is a SYSTEM? Glad you asked…
1. A group of interacting, interrelated, or interdependent elements forming a complex whole.
2. A functionally related group of elements, especially:
e. A network of structures and channels, as for communication, travel, or distribution.
3. An organized set of interrelated ideas or principles.
5. A naturally occurring group of objects or phenomena: the solar system.
7. A condition of harmonious, orderly interaction.
8. An organized and coordinated method; a procedure. See Synonyms at method.
~~~ ~~~ ~~~

WISHING YOU, MY FRIEND…

a SYSTEMATIC - FRUITFUL - FUN DAY :)

~~~ Monika ~~~
